Offshore Splashzone Maintenance & Protection

A Case Study on Offshore Splashzone Maintenance & Protection, Devon County Council, Teignmouth TQ14.

Because of constant water erosion from tidal movements, bridge columns and beams get corroded quickly. Devon County Council set fourth to restore Shaldon bridge in 2016, therefore they needed offshore splashzone maintenance and protection with a total area of 2,200m square meters that needed covering.

Devon County Council asked Maintenance Plus if we had a product that could give the bridge full protection from the elements. Again we looked at intelligent questions. This bridge is used on a daily basis thus needs a solution which would cure submerged under water. We suggested that they use Interzone® 954 for the bridge columns and both Interzone® 954 and Interfine® 629HS for the beams which will continue to cure in totally submerged conditions.
